Peter and the Wolf Will Be Performed at the Puppetry Arts Institute in Independence, MO

While Independence is known as the home of Harry S. Truman, the 33rd President of the United States, it has quite a reputation for its puppet shows too. Children of all ages will enjoy their October presentation.

WHAT: Peter and the Wolf

WHEN: Saturday, October 15, 2011

TIME: 11:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.

WHERE: Puppetry Arts Institute (PAI)

LOCATION: 11025 E. Winner Rd, Independence, MO 64052

ADMISSION: $5.00 per person. This price includes touring the museum and each child receiving a free finger puppet.

RESERVATIONS SUGGESTED: 816-833-9777

HIGHLIGHTS:

The puppeteer will be Emma McLean along with Wit and Whimsy Puppets. She will be assisted by PAI trained assistants. The marionettes of Robert LeRoy Smith will perform this classic with music.

You will want to browse around after to look at the array of toys and puppets on the premises.

    This takes me back to 7th grade and listening to the differences in the music of Peter and the
    Wolf - it was a language class and the instructor wanted us to be aware of the many types of language, including music and art. Thanks:)
