Petit Theft in Prospect Heights

Petit Theft in Prospect Heights
Neighborhood: Prospect Heights
Brooklyn, NY 11231
United States of America
As lovely as the residents of Prospect Heights may think their neighborhood is, there is no shortage of petit theft and muggings as of late.

A 39-year-old man was robbed on Pacific Street between Vanderbilt and Underhill on October 22 when a pair of thugs jumped out of their car, pressed an object into his back (likely a gun), took the victim's wallet, and ran back to their car. The crime happened just after 8:00 PM. Talk about a drive-by.

Not even the laundry was safe on October 23 at lunchtime. The fold-and-wash felon too more than $350 worth of clothing straight from the dryer in a Prospect Place building laundry room. The building, between Carlton and Vanderbilt, has an onsite laundry facility for residents. Nice neighbor!

An 18-year-old victim was mugged at gunpoint on October 25 on Sterling Place between Underhill and Washington just after 11:30 PM. The thief flashed his gun and demanded the victim hand over his iPhone immediately.
