Petite Jeans - Where to Find a Stylish Pair

Shopping for jeans if you are under 5' 2" tall can be difficult. More and more stores are starting to offer options for those of us who happen to a bit shorter than most. Although it is possible to hem jeans with what many seamstresses call an "original hem" taking the bottom so they do not look hemmed, the fit is still never right if they are meant for a taller person.

Express has for quite sometime been selling jeans for petites. Oftentimes these need no alterations even for those of us 5' even. There are occasions when they are a bit long and require an "original" hem however just being that they are meant for shorter people makes them a much better fit. Most Express jeans are under $60.

GAP

Like Express, GAP has been selling jeans for petites for years. Their version of petite jeans is considered "ankle length" or sized such as 4A for 4 petite. GAP offers all of their styles for the most part in petite, regular and tall making them a much better fit for those of us who are not of an "average height". GAP jeans also like Express are fairly inexpensive.

Lucky Brand Jeans

Lucky Brand has a wide variety of petite jeans available for approximately $119. The style is great and they are a good quality jean that will last for years to come. They fall in the middle of the price range.

7 For All Mankind

If you are willing to spend a little more money, then 7 For All Mankind has some fantastic styles that will remain classic for years to come. The quality is exceptional so they will certainly last awhile. Most run about $155 but for those of you looking for a perfect fit and willing to spend extra money to get it consider 7 For All Mankind jeans.

True Religion Brand Jeans

The most expensive of the bunch, True Religion offers about 8 different styles for up to $250. They do fit well if you are willing to spend the money and there are a few less expensive versions. The quality is good but in my opinion 7 jeans are better.

Whatever you choice, there are more and more out there so make them wisely. There is nothing better than a great pair of jeans when they fit and nothing worse than a great pair of jeans that don't. Happy Shopping!
