What Does Petting Animals in FarmVille Do?
Petting animals in FarmVille does absolutely nothing. Yes, it is a useless feature that just allows you to give animals attention but it does not help with faster harvesting and it does not give you any free coins. Having FarmVille animals can be useful because they can be harvested for coins. However, they also take up a lot of space and harvesting seeds pays more than animals.
Why is the petting animal feature on FarmVille? Because it's cute. You do not have to feed animals on FarmVille or give them water. They are always happy, cows wag their tails and chickens peck the ground. Animals do not need food or attention on FarmVille but users can still pet them. It's tough to ignore those adorable animals, especially if you adopt them. After all, you gave them a good home. How can you not give them a quick pet? Petting on FarmVille is as useless as honking the horn on your fancy tractor. It does absolutely nothing to benefit you in playing the game, but is just another feature to add more interaction.
I mention the word "useless" a lot when describing FarmVille animals. I prefer to sell my animal gifts because they do not get enough coins for your farm. Chickens get you 8 coins a day, and a plot of strawberries (lowest seed on FarmVille) will make a 10 coin profit every four hours. Buying animals on FarmVille is a waste of coins, as a sheep costs 700 coins and harvests in 3 days for 35 coins. So you see, animals on FarmVille are not economical or friendly to keep. They will get you ribbons and rewards, which turn into free coins and experience points. Harvesting animals however does not get you experience points which you need in order to go up levels in FarmVille.
How do you get FarmVille animals without buying them? Either accept them as gifts or adopt them. Friends and other FarmVille players can send you a gift every day, it can be a tree or an animal. Use these free gifts to harvest and sell for coins, and then use those coins to buy more seeds that will pay far better than animals. Pet your animals in FarmVille only if you feel like it, but remember it will not get you anything other than a sound that animal makes.

Post a CommentWell, I wouldn't say animals are useless, they are very awesome, you mentioned that they are useless because they don't pay off. Well, that is an absolute lie! Unlike the crop, the animals don't die and you can harvest them when ever you want so over a big period of time, you can pay them off, and of course then you will start making a profit, I've had all my animals ever since 2009, and I love them because when I don't play Farmville for a certain period of time, the trees and animals still give me opportunity to get gold even if I haven't planted anything. Another great thing is that they show you experience as some animals only come out for a certain period of time.

Actually animals on farmville can be profitable. There is a "glitch" allowing you to make your dairy farms, chicken coops and stables ready for harvest several times per day. If you're patient enough to do this you can yield a decent amount of coins and cute little calves and foals for your neighbors as well as mystery eggs.
