Petville has got to be the cutest game released by Zynga thus far. It was a great day for Petville fans on Friday, December 11, 2009 when Bubble Pop was introduced! Bubble Pop is the first game available to play with your virtual pet in Petville. Not only is it fun to play and try to beat your high score, but playing Bubble Pop with your Petville will garner a substantial amount of coins you can use to decorate your Pet's house.

It will cost you five energy points to play Bubble Pop with your pet and you can play for as long as you have the energy to do so. To play, your holds a wand and blows bubbles out of it. You have to pop as many bubbles as you can before they float away. Each level, you will be given a goal as to how many bubbles you need to pop to get to beat the level. The yellow meter at the bottom tells you how many bubbles are left for that round available to pop. To the left of that, you will see how many you have popped so far. To the right of the meter, you'll see your target. Each time you play, a screen will pop up telling you what your all time highest score is so you can try to beat it!.

When I first played, I thought the game was rather simple and I wouldn't be interested. But, I soon became addicted and started developing a strategy to beat my score every time I played. As you progress in levels, it becomes more difficult to reach your target number.

I didn't get how score was determined at first. I was popping bubbles that weren't accounted for. Then, I realized that the bigger bubbles don't count. You have to pop the big bubbles to get to the smaller ones which do count. When you pop a bigger bubble, it separates into two smaller ones and only the smallest sizes will be credited towards your target. The more advanced the level, the quicker the bubbles will float out of the game screen, the higher your target number is and the more you have to break up the bubbles to get to the smaller ones. So, it can become challenging.

The better you become at Petville Bubble Pop, the more opportunity you have to earn coins. The key to getting a high score is, of course, to pop as fast as you can. But, you also have to make sure you're popping in the right order. Right before your pet blows another pack of bubbles, place your mouse about an inch or two away from the wand. When the bubbles appear, start popping immediately as this when they'll be closer together. Once they start to separate more, move over to the right side of the screen. These are where the bubbles will float out of view, so you have less time to get to them. Focus on the smaller bubbles since they're the ones that matter. If you pop a huge bubble that's just about to float away, you probably won't be able to get to the smaller ones, so move to the bigger bubbles that are more towards the middle of your screen if there aren't any small ones close to the right.

The only thing I think Zynga should add to this is also include your friend's high scores so you can try to beat those as well instead of just trying to beat your own score. But, the game is still new. So, that may be something they'll introduce in the future. You will be awarded coins after each level. This is usually between 5 and 20. So, it's fairly easy to accumulate a good amount of coin to spend on your pet
