Peyton Manning Vs. Tom Brady: Who's the Better Quarterback?

The NFL has two remaining undefeated teams, the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts. Both teams are expected to still be undefeated when the teams collide in another week. Analysts are already hyping the game up as the biggest of the year. The two teams would be nothing without their two great quarterbacks. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are not only the two best quarterbacks in the NFL, they are two of the best quarterbacks of all time. So which is better? Here are some things to consider.

Both Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are both Super Bowl Champions. Manning got his one ring last year when the Colts beat the Bears. Tom Brady has had a little more success in this department. He has won three Super Bowls, and has been the Super Bowl MVP twice. He also has managed the challenge of winning back-to back championships. Manning took a little longer into his career to win his first Super Bowl. The Colts made it deep into the playoffs several times but were unable to make it to the big game. Many wondered if Manning would ever make it to the big game.

Both quarterbacks have had solid supporting casts. Manning however has had a little more help getting the success over the years. Super star receivers Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne have been with Manning for several years. These are all-pro receivers with great speed and hands. Manning has also some great running backs such as Joseph Addi and Dominick Rhodes. Tom Brady has had some help as well but not quite as much as Manning. Until this year he did not have the big name receivers and running backs that Peyton has had. He has had success with less caliber players.

Both players have had their share of individual successes. The two players have a combined total of ten pro-bowl appearances, with Manning having seven. Brady leads the Super Bowl MVP race with a 2-1 edge. Surprisingly Brady has never won the NFL MVP award, something Peyton has done twice. While both players are also known for their commercials and side deals, this is a category that is dominated by Manning who is worth millions more with endorsements.

Neither quarterback is very mobile, both being pocket passers. They both have incredible arms and have the ability to put the ball in places that no one else can seem to put it. In head to head competition Brady leads Manning 5-2 however Manning has won the most recent matchups.

Manning and Brady are arguably the best passers in the game. Each week they create nightmares for opposing defenses with their incredible arms. Both are at the top of their games right now and are ready to prove they are the best. When the two teams meet up next week it should create another interesting chapter in the history of these two legendary quarterbacks. Which quarterback is better?
