This specific P.F. Chang's is in Lo Do or lower downtown Denver, where parking can on occasion be ridiculous to come across, so make sure if you make reservations that you give yourself enough time to find parking. There are also other P.F. Chang's all over the city of Denver, once specifically as right in the parking lot of Park Meadows Mall. They tend to be extremely busy as well however easier to park. The best time of day to go to P.F. Chang's and escape the mad rush would be around 4:30pm. This still gets you in around dinner time but you usually never have to wait for a table.
The food ranges from Mongolian Beef, Moo Shu Duck, and Lemon Pepper Shrimp. One of my absolute favorites are their lettuce wraps. The flavor is amazing and as an appetizer the price is great. They also have what they call a New Grill Menu which has a different take on Chinese food. The Asian Marinated New York Strip is very flavorful and one of my standards for ordering now. They also have a large array of wines and cocktails to go with dinner. The Asian Pear Mojito is a great twist on an old classic. Also for people who need it there is a gluten free menu as well which is rare in Chinese food restaurants.
The inside of the restaurant makes it look dark and rich yet still inviting giving you the choice to show up dressed formally or casual. The prices are more expensive than say your local Chinese restaurant however they do serve family style food and the flavor makes the prices easier to bear. They have large table allowing larger parties easier access to eating as well as large booths that will actually fit 6-8 people.
P.F. Chang's is definitely kid friendly, they provide toys usually for every child to play with at the table, and they provide kid friendly chopsticks as well. They have a bar where you can sit and eat your dinner while watching them cook in the back. Their kitchen is completely open. If you love Chinese food but are looking for something less cramped than your local joint P.F. Chang's is a great choice and makes eating dinner almost seem luxurious.
