PGA Championship TV Schedule and 2009 PGA Championship Predictions
The 2009 PGA Championship Schedule Begins on August 13th with Vast TV Schedule
The 2009 PGA Championship TV schedule begins on Thursday, August 13th at the Hazeltine National Gold Club in Chaska, Alaska, with pre-tournament coverage already taking place on the Golf Channel as well as ESPN. The opening day PGA Championship TV schedule will start at 11:00 A.M. PST (2:00 P.M. EST) and will have the first round shown on TNT. The second round will mirror the first day of coverage, again extending from 11 A.M. to 7 P.M. PST on TNT. When Saturday's third round of the PGA Championship TV schedule comes around, the time will get a little earlier, with the round scheduled to open at 8:00 A.M. PST and work through until 11:00 A.M. PST on TNT.
The third round coverage of the PGA Championship TV schedule isn't just limited to TNT, as the second part of the day will work its way over to CBS for some primetime weekend network coverage. The CBS segment of the PGA Championship TV schedule will begin at 11:00 A.M. PST and continue covering third round play until 4:00 P.M. PST. The final round of the PGA Championship TV schedule will mirror Saturday's coverage, with TNT covering from 8:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. PST and CBS again taking over from 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. PST. Pending no extra rounds needed to finish off the 2009 PGA Championship TV schedule, the winner should already be decided when CBS approaches the end of their Sunday coverage.
Tiger Woods looks to be the favorite to take home the trophy at the 2009 PGA Championship, but he has many others who could also have strong weekends. Those challengers include Steve Stricker who sits at #2 in scoring average and FedEx Cup Points, Stewart Clink who looks to build off of his British Open title, and Lucas Glover who has been putting up some very strong play recently. It's anyone's tournament to win, and the main story will be the pursuit by Tiger Woods to finally win a major in 2009, and the rest of the field trying to stop him at the 2009 PGA Championship.
