A few weeks back GNC had a couple of coupons for free products, that could be picked up at their retail stores. One product wasn't in stock over the 30 day period, but the product I was able to get was, Phenom Mega V 100% Natural Coconut Water.
The price was $1.79 for the 16.9 fluid ounce (1.05 pt) 500 ml carton. The carton is white, and has Phenom in large black lettering, going up the front left side. It states that it is "Pure, no sugar added, with added vitamins and electrolytes for max hydration".
Recently I have been going to core boxing classes, and thought that this product, would be better than water. I am not a lover of coconut, but wanted to give it a try.
It happened to be the time that our trainer put us through a harder than normal routine. The girl I was paired up with turned bright red, and I was sweating like a pig.
I stopped frequently, and had a mouthful of the Phenom Mega V 100% Natural Coconut Water. To me it tasted of coconut, and salt. It didn't refresh me as it wasn't ice cold, and had been out of the fridge, while driving there, and working out.
At the end of my boxing I drank the remainder of the carton. It left my throat feeling dry, and I still had that salty taste in my mouth.
A little from the Phenom website:
"PHENOM Coconut Water contains no artificial flavors, preservatives or added sugars, is low in calories, and contains zero cholesterol. PHENOM is also infused with GNC power to make this great drink even better. PHENO Mega V offers 100% electrolyte-rich coconut water fortified with additional premium vitamins and minerals to support health and well-being, including 100% of the RDA of vitamin C, plus calcium, vitamin B, and more."
It is also available in Pineapple Punch and Orange Guava Passion.

It states on the back of the carton that Phenom Mega V has more potassium than a banana.
This warning is from me, and not from Phenom. My husband Len has kidney failure, and his potassium level can get extremely high. He cannot eat bananas. Please do not try this product if you have any issues with your kidneys.
I am pleased that I was given a free Phenom Mega V 100% Coconut Water. I tried it, it put back what my workout took out of me, which was great. However, I would not choose to buy this product. I would rather have a bottle of water, and a PowerBar, or a Myoplex Lite bar. Yes, there are more calories in these, but I enjoy them.
