Philadelphia Premium Outlets Opens to Shoppers

A New Shopping Experience for Philadelphians

JaymeLee23
As Black Friday approaches at the end of November, people in the Western Montgomery County area will have a huge variety of stores to holiday shop at this year. A new outlet center just opened its doors on November 8th. Back in early 2006 the Chelsea Property Group was approved to construct a huge shopping center that would house more than 100 outlet stores. Chelsea Property Group is the owner or partial owner of most of the other outlet shopping centers around the United States.

The construction of the Philadelphia Premium Outlets began in late 2006. The Grand Opening of the outlets will run from November 8through November 11, 2007. The center is giving away prizes for the event and numerous stores will have their own store promotions for customers. This will be great for the Philadelphia metropolitan area. These outlets will be an option for shoppers rather than going to other malls such as King of Prussia Mall which is usually very jam-packed.

The Philadelphia Premium Outlets consist mostly of designer factory outlet stores such as: Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilifiger, Guess, Perry Ellis, Banana Republic, as well as others. Women shoppers will also love that the center will house Coach, Kate Spade, LancĂ´me, and Perfumania for their love of handbags, accessories, perfume, and makeup at discounts of 25% to 65%. Men shoppers will be drawn to the center for huge savings at Nike Factory Store, Sony, Reebok, Adidas, and Sunglass Hut. There are many food venues for shoppers to relax and dine at such as: Ruby Tuesday, South Philly Steak & Fries, Starbucks, and more. There is something for everyone at this outlet center.

People of the Philadelphia metropolitan area are thrilled about the Philadelphia Premium Outlets. Philadelphians are thrilled because over a 1,000 permanent jobs have been created for the area, shoppers will be able to get top brand items at huge discounts, and this center will draw in tourism from neighboring areas.

The center is not an inside mall. Shoppers will have to walk sidewalk areas just as at many other outlet centers. The center is situated on over 300 acres just off of the Santatoga/Limerock exit off of 422. Numerous hotels have shop and stay packages for shoppers that live outside the area. Some are even giving money towards a shopping spree for guests. Shoppers may check out www.premiumoutlets.com/philadelphia for current promotions as well as future ones. Shoppers may also visit the site to find driving directions, shop and stay hotel packages, as well as a complete store listing. The Philadelphia Premium Outlets business hours will be from 10 A.M. to 9 P.M. Mondays through Saturdays and 10 A.M. to 7 P.M. on Sundays. Holiday hours will be different. Holiday hours can be found by accessing the above website or by calling (610) 495-9000.

This is a great outlet. There are over 100 different stores. I live in Pottstown, so it is nice to not have to drive to KOP. Thanks a bunch for putting this one there.

    Thanks,
    John

This outlet isn't that great! No Polo, Nautica, Cole Haan and more of the better stores. The outlets in lancaster are better. They have a potterybarn outlet. The outlets in Myrtle beach sc are great!!!! They have everything. This is not worth the drive if you don't live near it. Was not impressed at all!

This has to be one of the smallest outlet centers I've seen in ages. Truly Ordinary. A couple of good stores we don't have elsewhere (Kate Spade is not open yet). But for example, the Liz Claiborne outlet is tiny in comparison to the ones in Rockvale, Reading, Perryville, or NJ. Not many "designers" to be had, either. The Neiman outlet in Franklin Mills is better, this one is small and a mess. And it's only the second day....

Oh and almost all Ann Taylor's clothing has MADE IN CHINA stamped on the main tags.

If you live near one of the others, it's not worth the drive.
