One popular "fake" candle is the floating candles. A lot of electronic companies have attempted to tap into the candle market by offering an electronic floating candle. These are basically lit up electronic toys that were more like floating light bulbs than candles. You can see why most consumers showed no enthusiasm towards these products and why they failed. Philips has done something right in re-imagining what an electronic candle could be like.
A few of my friends were able to get their hands on this product before it hit the market (it was just released last week). These electronic candles look nothing like traditional candles. In fact, they look like objects that you would spin around the table like a little kid. They are shaped this way because they have been created to be able to float in any type of area with water. The cool part is that these LED candles flicker just like a real candle would, making them a bit more attractive to own.
One aspect of these electronic candles that I found very important is that they are able to run for up to 20 hours. You simply recharge the candles by placing them in the Philips docking unit that they come with. This docking unit is designs to perfectly fit the electronic candles into it. However, make sure that you carefully wipe down the candles before placing them into the docking system. You do not want to get excess water in the device. It is waterproof but that should not stop you from wiping away excess water.
The main purpose candles like this are being created is for the money. Another reason is because they want to make a safe alternative to candles. There are hundreds of different stories every year about someone who leaves a candle burning and it ends up with them burning down their home. This type of candle can not start a fire and has the ability to shut itself off when the battery dies down. You get the convenience of a traditional candle while receiving the benefits of an electronic candle.
Another benefit is that you will never have to buy another candle ever again. Electronic candles last forever. The only negative is that they currently do not emit a scent. This is being fixed because future versions of this product will most likely have the ability to release different scents. Overall it is a great product that is a must own for those who want candles in the home but wish to remain safe at the same time.
