Philips Sonicare: Excellent Performance

Pam Freer
I love my Philips Sonicare toothbrush! This toothbrush far exceeds the performance of any other toothbrush I have ever used. It is, indeed, a different type of technology as far as electric toothbrushes go. It has "dynamic fluid cleaning action" which benefits your overall dental health.

When you get a Sonic toothbrush, it has to be charged for at least an hour. When fully charged, the toothbrush can be used for up to two week without recharging. This feature is especially nice while traveling. A special case is included so you can take the Sonic toothbrush with you.

The first few times you use the Sonic toothbrush, your mouth will feel strange. You will have a tingling sensation in your gums and lips for a few minutes following use. After using the Sonic for several days, you will become accustomed to the movement of the toothbrush, and will no longer feel the tingling sensation.

Because of the movement of this toothbrush, you should experience better dental health. The movement of the Sonicare massages your gums, reducing the accumulation of plaque and lessening your chances of getting gingivitis. The reduction of plaque accumulation on your teeth improves your overall dental health, and reduces your time in the dental office.

The Philips Sonicare toothbrush provides a more gentle form of brushing. You merely have to move the brush around in your mouth, without actually scrubbing your teeth with the bristles. The slight movement of the toothbrush, and the technology of the fluid cleaning action, cleanses your teeth without abrasion to your teeth.

The toothbrush remains on the base in between use, and has a cover to keep the bristles clean and dust-free. When using the Sonicare, you only need a small amount of toothpaste on a wet toothbrush. Apply the toothpaste, and put the toothbrush in your mouth before turning it on. It is also recommended that you keep you mouth closed when brushing with the Sonicare. Although this might be difficult at first, you'll quickly learn to keep your mouth closed while brushing. The fluid cleaning action will splatter your mirror if you do not keep your mouth closed. When you turn on your Sonicare, a two minute timer begins. Many of us are not in the habit of brushing that long, so it's nice to have the timer to remind us. After two minutes, the power goes off, you rinse the toothbrush, and return it to the charging base. The Sonicare rechargeable toothbrush has replaceable brush heads which should be replaced every six months.

I highly recommend the Philips Sonicare Rechargeable Toothbrush. I have used many different brands of manual toothbrushes, several battery operated toothbrushes, and one other rechargeable toothbrush. The Sonicare is by far the best toothbrush I have ever used.
