Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Eye Cream Didn't Improve My Looks

I Tried it for Ten and a Half Days

Susan Slade

I received a sample sachet of Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Eye Cream in the mail. It came in a large package, and I was slightly disappointment, that the sample sachet, was only 2 ml.

However, when I cut the corner off of the sachet, I only needed the smallest dot of the white cream, to go under, and at the side of my eyes. It states to avoid the eye lid, and to keep away from the eyes. This means that it is only the crow's feet area, and any bags that may be under the eyes.

I lifted my finger, with the cream up to my nose, and there was no fragrance with this product.

I had used it on clean skin, and the directions are:

"Gently apply a small amount with fingertips under and around the eye area morning and evening as the last step in your skin care routine."

It is amazing that I have had enough cream, to use the Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculour Anti-Againg Eye Cream, for ten and a half days. The results that are on the packaging, and on the website are for a minimum of two weeks, and after six weeks. The two week claim is 'Visible improvement in the appearance of crow's feet'.

I was worried that my skin would become red, blotchy, or dry, because this product contains retinol. Other products that I have tried, I have had to stop because of it. I think the fact that I used so little each time, prevented this from happening.

So how does my skin compare to when I first started using it? There isn't any improvement that I can see. If the sample had been twice the size, then I am sure that Philosophy would have sold their product, to many of us. Sometimes skimping just doesn't work in their favor.

This is what Philosophy state on their website:
"This anti-aging eye cream helps improve the appearance of deep wrinkles, firms and deeply hydrates the eye area to visibly reduce advanced signs of aging.

Clinically-tested results:
95% felt improved hydration
95% showed improvement in the look of fine lines
91% showed improvement in elasticity
86% saw an improvement in the look of wrinkles
70% saw an improvement in the look of deep wrinkles.
This is based on a 6-week, twice daily use, clinical study and 4-week consumer perception test."

I am a little reluctant to buy the Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Eye Cream, as it retails at $60 for a .45 ounce (13.5 ml.) bottle. Working on the amount I used, twice a day, this should last approximately 70 days.

Here is the list of ingredients, as I feel that it is important to know, what you are putting around the delicate eye area.

Ingredients:
"water aqua eau, propanediol, cetyl alcohol, diethylhexyl carbonate, beeswax cera alba cire d'abeille, octyldodecyl olivate, polyglyceryl-4 isostearate, niacinamide, behenyl alcohol, glycerin, tetrahexyldecyl ascrobate, peg-30 dipolyhydroxystearate, caprylic capric triglyceride, hexyldecanol, magnesium sulfate, cocoyl hexapeptide 23, myristoyl pentapeptide-9, glyceryl diretinoate, retinol, brassica campestris (rapeseed) sterols, glycine soja (soybean) sterols, hydrolyzed safflower oil, caprylyl glycol, acetyl cocoyl glycine, cocoglycerides, 1,2 hexanediol, tropolone, sodium hyaluronate, microcrystalline wax cera microcristallina cire microcristalline, linoleic acid, phospholipids, bisabolol, cetylhydroxyproline palmitamide, polysorbate 80, lysolecithin, sd alcohol 40b (alcohol denat.), pentylene glycol, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, hydroxyethylcellulose, citric acid, disodium edta, retinyl palmitate, tocopheryl acetate, stearic acid, chlorphenesin, xanthan gum, bht."

I am totally on the fence with this product. I honestly couldn't give you a full report, as there wasn't enough product. On the other hand it didn't burn, irritate, or give me red patches, during the time I used it. My face is just the same as it was, so ten and a half days is just not enough time to answer the question, as to whether it works.
