Amy Kay
To many, the search for the perfect facial cleanser can seem like a lifelong quest. Philosophy may help make that search a little easier with Purity Made Simple facial cleanser. This award winning facial cleanser is one of Philosophy's top selling products. But is all the hype worth the price?

Philosophy's Purity Made Simple: Product Description

Purity Made Simple is advertised as a one-step facial cleanser that deep cleans pores and removes makeup buildup. Natural oils such as carrot seed oil, sandalwood oil, and sage oil condition and balance the skin.

Review: Effectiveness

Philosophy's Purity Made Simple is exactly what the name implies: simple. Purity Made Simple quickly melted away my make-up-everything from my foundation to my waterproof mascara. My skin felt soft and refreshed after I washed my face with this product. The light fresh scent was also a nice surprise. So often cleansers can have a chemical scent, but my nose actually enjoyed Purity Made Simple.

I have combination skin and it's hard to find products that will keep my patches of oily skin under control. But after I used Philosophy's Purity Made Simple in the morning, my skin was balanced and shine-free for the day. People with dry skin may benefit from using a moisturizer after using Purity Made Simple, as it can have a drying effect

Review: Price

An 8 ounce bottle of Purity Made Simple is approximately $20 and a 24 ounce bottle is roughly $40. Purity Made Simple can be purchased on Philosophy's website and at Sephora.

This product is a little pricier than your common drug store cleanser, but I think that I may save money in the long run. There were times when I was using as many as 4 products on my face at night: a cleanser, an eye make-up remover, a toner, and a moisturizer. With Philosophy's Purity Made Simple, my cleansing routine could be down to one product.

I don't think that I should have to work hard to keep my face clean and feeling great. This product did all the work for me: it removed my make-up, cleaned my skin, and left it feeling moisturized. I definitely recommend this product as a daily facial cleanser.
