According to jambase.com, Phish will play 8 full sets of music over the course of the event, set to take place on Friday October 30, Saturday October 31, and Sunday November 1. Following in tradition of past Halloween shows, Phish will play in full costume on Halloween night and perform the entire album of another band's. Past renditions have included The Beatles' White Album, The Who's Quadrophenia, The Velvet Underground's Loaded, amongst others.

Tickets for Festival 8 will be on sale starting Monday, August 27 at a cost of $199 + $1 WaterWheel Donation + applicable service fees each; this includes full access to all 3 days of the festival. If you wish to camp on site next to your car, an extra $15 vehicle pass is also needed. RV passes are also available, for $125. In addition, there are numerous travel packages available which include hotel, transportation to and from the venue each day and night, and even food.

If you do not wish to camp on site, you can park your car in day parking - though any cars left overnight will be towed. For those coming from out of state or out of city, there is a train stop and a bus stop located some 3 miles from the venue.

On top of all this, Phish also has a new album coming out; though they've already played most of the album's songs live while on their recent tour. Joy, set for a release date of September 8, was recorded in New York City and is the band's first studio album in five years. Highly anticipated by the many Phish fans out there, this one is sure to top all of the charts upon its release.
