Phobia - Breaking Benjamin 2006

First I would like to say that Breaking Benjamin is one of my all-time favorite rock band. They are an alternative rock band that are easy to listen to. 'Phobia' is their latest album which was released in 2006 during a tour around the continental United States. It is not my favorite of their three Cd's ('Saturate' in 2002 and 'We Are Not Alone' in 2004), but it was a very good one indeed. In this new album the style of their songs are a bit different to that of their previous ones. In the first two albums their style was a bit more hardcore and louder. I am not talking metal but it was more hardcore. These new songs are a bit slower and more meaningful. The first song I ever heard from them was 'Simple Design' which I believe was from the 'Saturate' CD and I really enjoyed it so I downloaded more of their music. But when I bought 'Phobia' and listened to it I was surprised at this change from 'Simple Design' which was a lot more hardcore to their new hit singe 'The Diary of Jane' which some of you may have heard in you local rock radio station. 'The Diary of Jane' is a wonderful song with beautiful lyrics and is of course still good rock! Also, if you bought the special edition CD like I did, then it has an acoustic version of 'The Diary of Jane' If you have not heard of Breaking Benjamin then look up some of their songs and you may recognize them from some video games such as Halo for which they created a song in the soundtrack. If you like alternative rock then you will love Breaking Benjamin. Their songs are unique and unlike anything you have heard from other bands before.
