Phoenix is not a newcomer in the world of exercise equipments. One of their machines, the Phoenix 98623 Revolution Cycle Pro II exercise bike, is one of their best selling exercise machines this year. If you want to know the good and bad points of this bike just continue reading.
Pros
In terms of assembly this bike really stands out. A single person can put the pieces together in about half an hour. Most bikes come in so many parts, along with inadequate assembly manual, that it would take over two hours to put it together. The main parts of the Phoenix 98623 Revolution are already attached so it really help speed up the assembly process.
Once assembled you see that this bike is sturdy and very stable. Pedaling feels smooth and fairly quiet. The wheel does whisper a little but that's all you can hear from it.
Since this bike uses direct-drive system you can pedal both forward and backward. Using the quick-stop handle brake you can instantly switch between going forward and backward to vary your exercise routine. The tension levels on this bike should cover the needs for both beginner and intermediate users.
Adjusting the tension is pretty simple. Just turn the tension knob two or three turns to increase the tension. The same thing can be said about adjusting the seat. Turning the knob and adjusting both the seat and seat back is just as easy.
Cons
This bike is not made for short people. If you're shorter than 5'5" the seat can't go low enough for your feet to touch the pedal. The second grief is that you cannot move the handlebars. If you're not comfortable with the position then you're stuck with it.
The third grief is the seat. It's made of cheap material so you will need to buy gel seat if you care about that bottom of yours.
Conclusion
If you want a gym-quality bike at home the Phoenix 98623 Revolution Cycle Pro II exercise bike really come close. It is a great bike for both beginner and semi-advance user.
