Pros
This bike comes unassembled but the assembly process is easy. The assembly manual is clear and easy to follow. Just be sure you have extra hand to help holding the handle bars when screwing them in place. It will be much easier that way.
Both the seat and handle bars are adjustable. The seat can be adjusted bot horizontally and also vertically. It can go low enough for short people to reach the pedal and it goes high enough so people over 6' tall can sit comfortably on it. Unlike some exercise bikes in its price range the seat on Phoenix 99607 is well cushioned and comfortable. You won't get sore bottom after a half an hour exercise with this bike.
When riding the bike you can feel that the bike is sturdy and the movement is smooth and also very quiet. If you put this in front of the TV you can hear the sound coming from the TV just fine without having to turn up the forum.
The LCD monitor on this bike is large and easy to read. It displays stuff like time, distance, speed, calories burned and also heart rate. The built in computer also able to calculate BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate), BMI (Body Mass Index), fat percentage so you can be more informed on your body condition. The number may not be 100% accurate but still they're worthy information to have at hand because they can motivate you to reach your exercise target.
Cons
The only bad thing about this bike is the plastic used on the handle bars. If you tighten the screws too much it will crack. Phoenix should've invested in better quality plastic for their bike.
Conclusion
As a basic exercise bike the Phoenix 99607 Mag Trac upright exercise bike works really well. No, it doesn't come with bells and whistles like the bikes you saw on the gym but still it can make you sweat and shed a few pounds of fat here and there. For a $225 bike this one is a good choice to keep at home.
