Phoenix Arise

YaoTzu
Stay alive

The light dims

But the flames still burns

And that is all that is needed

To allow the phoenix to rise.

If I could look into your eyes

You could see that I cry the same tears you do

And many more

But my tears extinguishes nothing.

My fire shines bright

Beneath the shadows of my flesh.

Harboring darkness in the eyes of others

Yet rekindling the flame of hearts

Holding on to nothing but smolder.

Speak your sorrows to slumber

But do not extinguish the flame

For my warm embrace may still awaken the embers left within.
