Florida also has a number that you can contact from anywhere to be able to have any number that you need.It is 211.Fully staffed and ready to help..They will help you find the group that is closet to you to help.
When you go to any of these places you will need to bring the following items with you::
Picture Id for all adults
Social Security card for all in household-- some places will take birth certificates
Proof of income
Proof of residence
Proof of electric, water, phone or some type of mail that has been mailed to you with your name on it..
My advice would be to call ahead some require appointments and others don't.Be prompt and on time or they will make you reschedule. Each one of these places are in need of help and donations.Don't throw away anything. Some of these places help familys rebuild after fire, flood and more.Just remember one day this could be you or someone you love.So support your local resources and help keep things plentiful..
