Photograph is a song written by Nickelback. It was their first song released from their fifth album, called All The Right Reasons. The meaning behind the song is very easy to find. Written by lead singer Chad Kroeger, it shows him looking back at his childhood. This was the band's third top ten hit in the United States. It was also certified as 2x Platinum. This song was also able to chart the Canadian Charts, where the band is from. The music video was also filmed in Hanna, Alberta, Canada, the hometown of the majority of the band.

Although of its popularity, it was also voted as the number five most annoying song of all time by Rolling Stone. This song ended up being released twice, being released a second time to capitalize on the success found by the song Rockstar.

The music video deals a lot with Chad Kroeger's adolescence. He is first seen walking in an empty street. He is seen holding a picture of him and Nickelback's produced, Joey Moi. (This is who is referred to in the line 'what the hell is on Joey's head?' Kroeger ends up visiting a house, which is presumed to be home to another family. He reaches Hanna High School, where he and three other band members enter the gym and perform a concert. During the remainder of the video, flashbacks occur, showing familiar faces to Kroeger and the rest of the band. They show old girlfriends of some members (one woman is assumed to be Kim, referring to the line 'the first girl I kissed'. During the end of the video, everyone gets in their cars and the band finishes their song. Nigel Dick was the director of this video.

This song was very success in the chart standings. As mentioned earlier, it reached number one in the Canadian Charts. It also finished second in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. It reached the top spot in Hot Adult 40 tracks, Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks, and U.S. Billboard Pop 100. The song was an international thing, too. It reached as high as third in Australia, fourth in New Zealand, fourth in the Dutch Charts, tenth in the Australian Charts, twenty-seventh in the Swiss Charts, and number 40 in Sweden. It also reached the top spot in the UK Rock Chart and reached as high as eighteenth in the UK Singles Chart.
