A photography exhibition, "Beggars and Choosers," curated by historian Rickie Solinger will be held at Illinois State University, Thursday, February 11. The photography exposes the difficulties facing young, poor, disabled, single, or imprisoned mothers. The exhibition, co-organized by Women's and Gender Studies, Department of History, and the Visual Culture Program at Illinois State University, will be shown at 12 noon, Thursday, February 11, 2010 in the University Galleries, 110 Center for the Visual Arts. There is no charge for attending this event.

The exhibition is part of Illinois State University's Faculty Biennial, which features artwork by current studio, graphic design, and art education faculty. Hours for the University Galleries are:

Tuesday: 9:30 - 7:00
Wednesday - Friday: 9:30 - 4:30
Saturday - Monday: noon - 4:00
