Inexpensive Way to Show Off Photos

B. Hatcher
Fun craft children of all ages will enjoy making for family and friends. Photos make a great gift for showing off a recent school picture or a fun vacation memory. The supplies you need are inexpensive, most items can be found around the house. These can be made in just an hour or less. This would also be a fun craft idea for a daycare, class project or even a birthday party. A little adult supervision is needed and in no time the kids will be showing off their favorite photo in a homemade frame.

Supplies:

1. Photos you want to use. 4 x 6 photos

2.Glue

3.Scissors

4.Old puzzle pieces

5. Empty cereal boxes -flattened and opened up lengthwise

6.Small magnet strips

Instructions:

1. Begin by tracing each picture on to the back of the cereal box. Cut this out of the box along the lines you have traced. Don't worry if you can see part of the box.

2. Trace another square inside the first square. You want to make this 2 to 2 ½ smaller than the original square.

3. Cut out the inner square. Now you are see the beginning of your photo frame.

4. Glue puzzle pieces over the boarder to cover any coloring from the box that you may see.

5. After the glue has dried. You will carefully glue your picture to the frame. Make sure you center your photo and trim
any excess if needed.

6. Glue a few of the magnetic strips to the back of the frame along the cardboard edges.

You now have a little picture frame to show off your favorite pictures. Children will love making this and it is done in no time. Start taking lots of photos so you can make frames for every one on your holiday gift list this year.
