A Bit of Beijing's Russian Market (Yabalou) & that Night
I have never seen so many fur coats in my entire life! I think I was in fur coat heaven in Beijing. Mink, blue mink, gray mink; you name it. Lol. :-)
The Russian market (Yabalou) is very popular among the Russians to shop in Beijing, China. Whole buildings are exclusively filled with shops selling fur coats. Tip: Bargain in the Russian language ;-) Other scenes are before & after the shopping trip.

More great photos of your trip.
More great pics. Looks like you are having a great time.
Lovely photos of your trip! I am very impressed!
:-) You wouldn't believe what camera I used for the photos, Greenhill. I myself was surprised how a 3 megapixel digital camera can achieve a DSLR like photo appearance with some post photo editing.
You have a great camera...wonderful photos!
Thank you. Its very kind of you to say so, Paula. :-)
Another exquisite showing! "I want to go." It's one thing to take pictures; quite another to be able to reveal the emotional intent of the people and buildings. The content is rich and believable. Your passion/talent shows through the lens, no doubt.
cosmically,
Paula Andrea
Thanks for the splendid comments, folks. Cottageon..I reckon that most stores would open at 10am & close at 10pm in Beijing. :-)
OK, I can understand the fur market for Russians - their winters are so severe - like nothing I have ever experienced (and I complain about the snow here in Illinois). There are fur shops in Chicago but have never been to one. I never see anyone wearing a fur coat in our town. So seeing so many beautiful coats in one place is amazing. And the stores are open so late - do they even close for a few hours? You have seen a part of Beijing I never knew existed - thanks for sharing with us!
