Post a CommentWow, how close were you to the elk? :)
Great info ♥ thanks for sharing
I have a Rebel XTi also, and I just bought a Canon Elan IIe because I can interchange the lenses between the two. I don't do studio photography either, but I am a fan of portraits, especially ones that don't show the person's face because I think they can be universally appreciated and make for better prints.
We don't have elks here in NH, only moose and deer. I don't believe there are magpies either so this was a treat. PLENTY of squirrels, grrr, they are living in my barn and are quite destructive.
Great shots, Mike! I hope I'll get to see these guys live one of these days. The only exotic animals I get to catch on film in the wild here are birds... And no magpie in sight! By the way, did you know there's an opera called The Thieving Magpie (La gazza ladra)? :oD It's a nice piece of music to go with the shot! ;o)
Yes the squirrel looks like he's ready to pounce you for a treat.
I can hear the elks scream!
Great photos, as always. Love the detail in your photos.
@Lorraine, after your comment I had to check and make sure I didn't publish one of Frank Mucci's pictures by mistake!
I hear elk buggling at night and see magpies and ground squirrels right outside my windows. Nice shots, Mike. And, man, what a rack!
