Birth of a Goddess
During Monsoon, on the banks of the river Ganga near Calcutta, potters fashion Goddess Durga , out of clay as an act of devotion. Shipped all over the world, the goddess is worshipped for 8 days and then immersed in a river or a pond , in a tearful farewell!
