Pictures of the Hummingbird Moth and The Bumble Bee!
It's easy to mistake the beautiful hummingbird moth for the bumble bee. Their colors and markings are slightly similar and more than a quick glance is needed to note the difference!

Post a CommentExcellent job on this, Rue!
I love the Hummingbird Moth, (Macroglossum stellatarum). And believe it or not, I like the Bumble Bee! Those guys never sting you (or at least what I think is a bumble bee does not) and they are always curious what you are doing. One day a fellow I knew was admiring them and shoved the back of his hand at the guy, even hitting the bee in a non-fatal way. He said he wasn't afraid to do that because he knew the bee wouldn't bother him for doing that. In this the bumble bee sets a good example for us humans.
Good job, Rue :) cheers !
