Post a CommentI have no idea why they were all there on that day, it happens sometimes though. Another stormy day thousands of tiny whitefish were being washed up on the beach and left high and dry. I managed to get as many as I could that were still alive and flick them back into the ocean. I felt sorry for them, so sad seeing them barely able to flick their tails on the dry sand.
I wonder what caused the fish to die, the storm or something else?
My daddy loved to go fishing, as does my brother and my son. My husband does not like going fishing.
Amazing isn't it, the fish did still look pretty. I think that's one reason I took the photographs in the first place. If they had looked half eaten it wouldn't have been the same...
Wow, those were some great shots. Odd how the fish are still pretty.
I went fishing off the beach near a river mouth after a huge flood. There were plenty of dead fish, carp, washed up on the beach. They had literally been flushed into the sea which ofcourse killed them being a freshwater species. There were also plenty of melons & potatos as well. Bizarre. PS - never caught a thing!
It's a shame isn't it, just lying there with birds pecking at their eyes :( These photos were taken over a year ago in Florida, not that cold really.
Yuk! Tony, I feel awful for the fish and the waste.
Aww...poor fish.
If the fish died from poisoning and the gull eats it, will the gull die, too? I wonder...Cheers, you should write and tell us where you were, Tony!
sad! where were you at? we've had trout killed here this winer due to teh cold. :) jeffrey
