Post a CommentInteresting to see the in between phase. I wonder why they don't remove the buildings and let it go back to nature? Is someone planning on using it again?
In reference to caption on photo #6... it must have been. It's hard to believe that commercial property like that, in that vicinity would be like that.
Sweet... I wonder how many people have come and gone through those places throughout their "lives"
I'm in a local group that explores abandoned and off limit man made structures. We do this for many reasons and often times our explorations are photographed. I have been to Splendid China a few times, my first trip being in February of 2006. At this time the park had been closed for a few years but was well preserved due to it being off the radar or undesired by the locals. I love to see the natural decay and atrophy in man made places that are now void of people. However I was disappointed in my final Splendid trip in 2008. The park had been ravaged by scrappers, vandals, thieves, squatters, etc. Also the vacant park has been plagued by arson and the police have really cracked down on trespassers. All of which make it not very desirable to view these days. I dont know much about the nearby hotel and we have never explored it for legal reasons.
I just wish more people would do their research and enjoy these places for what they are and enjoy seeing them in their current state, wh
You shoot interesting places!
