Post a CommentThat was our first hurricane and we had some damage to our house and were without power for a while. It wasn't fun and we had just adopted our dog two weeks earlier.
So sad. We had floods along the Delaware River FIVE YEARS AGO and some of the debris is still piled up against the islands and shores of the river.
Oh my. SMH!
Poignant. Great photos.
It was the same almost 2 years after Wilma in South Florida. There were still hundreds of houses with blue tarps on the roof.
It takes years to get everything back to normal and even longer sometimes for mother nature to make her world normal once again Sad that it takes this long and the residents are working so hard to make it back onto their feet.
Wow, amazing how much devastation remains a year later! These pictures and the info you share really puts things into perspective.
Sorry I haven't been commenting in some time - afraid new writing job plus new full-time off-line job have kept me busy and exhausted but loving life. Do so want to keep in touch with my dear AC friends, sharing page love & appreciation for you. ღஐღ
Wow! What a devastation. After a year if it looks like this it must have looked even horrible when the hurricane hit. It takes long time to recover from the natural disasters. Thanks for showing us the reality.
Thanks for sharing. I have only experienced an earthquake. It is shocking to see the damages done by nature itself.
