Actually, the wedding was two years ago in August! An assignment came up recently (which I did not take) that planted the seed for this slideshow. Since it was the largest party I've ever hosted I definitely sought the help of a wedding planner. We set a budget and stuck to it. When the savings set aside for it were gone so were any new plans. :) Those are the top two tips I would recommend to future brides. A planner was not an imperative but it gave me comfort. My daughter was not a bridezilla and I was not a monster mom, until the last couple days when I had to start saying "no...". My third tip would be while you are dreaming start saving... Don't start your wedding by going into debt for it. This wedding had to realize the dreams of my husband and our daughter and was a lot of fun to plan together.
