Ophir Pass Road Jeep Trail Slideshow
An old mining wagon road exists in Colorado's San Juan Mountains between Telluride and Silverton. Ophir Pass Road is reputed as "easy" among the majestic high Rocky Mountain jeep trails, but I call it "O Fear" for reasons of my own.

Colorado is breathtakingly beautiful! Someday I would love to go there!! Ohio is so boring!!
Such different beauty then I am use to seeing... but just as beautiful...thanks Lorraine, I enjoy this very much!
Simply spectacular photos... brings back memories of when I lived in Colorado back in the mid-70s. Thanks!
Breathtaking! I liked the ski fence too.
thanks for the reminder. it brought back some nice memories. me and the doc a couple of years ago.
Lorraine, absolutely stunning scenery in this area! I am glad you were able to do this jeep ride!
Amazing photos. I can only imagine what it looks like in person!
Love the nickname, "O Fear!" Really amazing colors; this was a treat to behold, even in a slideshow. I used to go to school in the north Georgia mountains, and driving there was an exercise in white knuckle fog navigation, lemme tell you!
Lorraine, this is an "Oh Yay moment!" I have been reading articles but not posting. I can finally post again. I thought I'd try it one more time and this time it worked!!
