    These are great pictures! I am hoping to grow this variety next year. I never knew that about the ants! I knew they weren't harming the peony, but couldn't figure out why they were there!

    Nice photos. Here in the south, some people call these "peeOnees", whereas in the north, we called them "PEEonees". Whatever they are called they are beautiful. The catch for me is: I want them only if they are strong enough not to fall over all the time. A plant should be able to stand tall and proud on its own.
