Post a CommentNice pics. I just love a good parade.
Beautiful horses!
LOL I loved these pictures especially with your witty commentary! King and Queen Buckwheat reminded me of my fall days in Iowa when we crown the King and Queen of Pork :P
Great photos!
Never knew about this Festival Parade. It looks like a lot of fun. I'll have to check it out one day.
It looks as if a great time was had by all.
Good one!
Now that I don't have time to do snarky recaps of TV shows, I will just have to settle for snarky parade recaps :)
Well it sure beats the halleluiah out of Bloomington parades (which are kind of a local joke anymore). I was genuinely laughing out LOUD as I read your commentary. You’d be a riot doing this on radio or TV! My little sister was a baton twirler. I did NOT envy her having to march on sweltering days. Cracked up over Strokey the Bear. And your comment on the truck-riding beauty queen was a scream! That old hearse is really impressive… those horses look enormous! And I absolutely LOVE the old homes behind the “unintentional†band. Gorgeous. Would love to see more pics of those. (Josh’s band used to play w/ one called “The Accidentsâ€, btw.) Thanks for persisting in your efforts to get this slideshow on the road. I appreciate your nearly-futile efforts, Ali. : )
I loved the funny commentary. Thanks for sharing these pics. :)
