"Nebraska's 8th largest urban area"...would probably fit into the average celebrity's kitchen.

So true, Sandra. I-80, which follows the Platte River from East to West, is Nebraska's curse. That's where the "flat" reputation comes from. And who wouldn't think that after 400 miles of complete flatness. The ironic thing is that just 20 miles North or South of I-80, you can find some of the best scenery in the country. I especially love the Sandhills in the spring and summer.

Awesome photography, Mark! My husband's sister and family lived for quite a while in Trenton, Nebraska, west of McCook and south southeast of Scotts Bluff. We passed by there once coming from the Black Hills and going to Trenton but got no closer than Bridgeport. People think Nebraska is totally flat but Chadron and this area proves them wrong. I enjoyed this very much.

The overlook over the town of Scottsbluff is gorgeous. This is a very poetic place. I really enjoyed the narration you added to your slides. Thanks!
