Pictures of September's roadside wildflowers. The old National Pike Road (Scenic Route 40), near Hancock, Maryland, still shows lingering blooms of autumn. Milkweed pods fat and bushes of yellow flowers that look like mini coreopsis yellow the roadbanks.
