Small Animals Matter Too!: Hamster Slideshow

Image Slideshow of Our Hamsters, Most From Rescue Situations

Y! Lyn

This is a photo slideshow of our hamsters. Most were from rescue situations, such as being mistreated, blind, pregnant, and otherwise 'unsellable.' Please be kind to tiny animals and help spread the word. Small animals matter too!

Very cute and I love that your family is rescuing them! We have a long-haired black bear hamster that my daughter and I adore.

Thanks everyone! Yes, hamsters certainly do end up in shelters, Rita. Unfortunately, many animals end up in shelters, not just cats and dogs. People often don't realize that animals, like children, should be a lifelong commitment and are a big responsibility.

I love the close up of Kiki (#8). If she had a thought bubble, it might read "Whatcha doin' there, huh? Huh? Whatcha doin'?" Thanks for sharing!

So many people associate rescue with only dogs, cats, and horses. Thanks for this article.
