Suburban Railway Station
These are photographs of a suburban railway station in the South Of England. It's a far cry from the bustling main stations, and doesn't look much different from Victorian times, other than the signals.

Nice pics!
I didn't get to Pennsylvania unfortunately. Hopefully next time.
it looks like some of the railways they have in Pennsylvanian. Were you ever able to see them while you were in the states?
Very nice pictures.
Love these.
Always loved traveling by train in the UK.
Thanks for the lovely comments everyone. This station is actually at Hamble, near Southampton in Hampshire, England. Trains run about every hour or two! I remember Beeching shutting down many of the railways in the 60's too Morag. The line from Poole through Corfe Castle and on to Swanage in Dorset was closed, a very pretty journey. Volunteers have spent the last 30 years rebuilding it and the last section finally re-opened last year. It still runs the old steam trains.
Kind of looks like one of our stations here on LI!
Great shots! :-)
