Post a CommentMy 5500XL also quit igniting. Any help with this would be appreciated. I have experimented with all different configurations, settings, etc to no avail. Mine heats low on HR1 and heats High on HR5. If your burn pot over flows with pellets, the solution is to hit the auger delay on the control panel. this will burn all of the pellets in the burn pot. I usually burn my stove at HR2 in my basement and the heat flows throughout the basement and up the stairs to the hallway. keeps the hallway a comfortable 68 degrees on the coldest days! Can someone take a picture of their smikestack? I think I have draft issues with the north wind blowing the smoke back into the house through the pipe! Smells up the house if the wind is blowing hard out of the north!!
We have an Ashley 5500XL and we are going on the 3rd season of using it. The auger seems to be releasing pellets too quickly and is overflowing the burn pot. We recently discovered the hairpin was bent and replaced it. It has bent again only after two weeks of use. Could these problems be related? We have cleaned out the stove thoroughly. Any thoughts?
The pellets drop into the burn pot, The ignighter does NOT light up to start the fire.
Pellet stoves generally cost very low and the Installation costs are relatively
low,

stoped ignighting
where are the heat tubes located and how do you clean them?
how to set the factory settings on a 5500xl it is over loading the burn pot
Call U.s STOVE COMPANY AND THEY WILL WALK YOU THROUGH THE SETTINGS TO ADD PELLETS SLOWER AND FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS WILL FIX BOTH THE POT OVERFLOWING AND THE GLASS GETTING SO MUCH SOOT ON IT, ALTHOUGH YOU WILL GET BUILD UP ON THE GLASS AFTER A WEEK OR SO UNDER NORMAL USAGE. ON MY 5500 XL I HOLD IN THE B& C BUTTONS AT THE SAME TIME UNTILL A P APPEARS IN BOTH THE HEAT RANGE AND BLOWER SETTINGS BOX, THEN HIT THE POWER ON BUTTON TILL NUMBERS POP UP, 85 IS FACTORY DEFAULT SETTING, RAISING THE NUMBER REDUCES THE AMOUNT OF PELLETS DELIVERED. THE HEAT RANGE ARROWS RUN THE NUMBER UP OR DOWN, AFTER YOU SET IT PUSH THE ON BUTTON AGAIN TO RETURN TO NORMAL. THAT IS HOW MINE WORKS, YOURS MAY BE DIFFERANT SO YOU MAY NEED TO CALL US STOVE COMPANY 800-750-2723
Hi what are some standard settings that should be used for heat range, blower speed, low burn air # and high burn air #. I have this stove and I just don't think i am running it right as their is buildup on the glass and the flames dont quite look sharp. Thanks.
only run the stove 3 or higher.. if this stove runs on 1 for a period of time, it will overfill the pot
