Virginia Beach, Virginia held its first King Neptune Festival in September, 1974. The annual celebration draws thousands of local residents and visitors. In 2005 the massive sculpture of Neptune was dedicated. Paul DiPasquale is the sculptor.

    Great photos Major. I lived in Va. Beach for years in the late 1970's. Attended every Neptune Festival cause ya know, it was a chance to party.

    Ugly! I'd tear it down. But nice photos. I've only been to Virginia Beach once. I much prefer the New Jersey shore.
