Holding its breath... LOL... too funny. This Texas mockingbird is so fat compared to the Florida mockingbirds that I was used to seeing that I was not sure if it really was a mockingbird. Plus it eats chicken, bacon, eggs, etc. so it was confusing me. I called a biologist and then emailed him pictures. It turns out this bird is a bit fat and fluffy...and there was a shrike visiting me too which added to the confusion since they look similar. LOL It is harder to photograph the shrike. God bless.
