Where I live, weather is often microcosmic within the same county. A mere few miles deeper into it, here was flooding and power loss in a recent storm. Here, some mist and little more.
There has been a lot of rain for a lot of people this year. Luckily, we haven't seen a whole lot of here. Not even one summer flood, really amazing.
Well, at least it helps to keep everything green. (That was my best attempt at a silver lining.) ; )
Thankfully you are safe! We had some of this occur in the Pittsburgh area resulting in a few deaths.

As you can see, I am catching up on your work. I have been super busy with house projects on my "vacation," but now I have some time to read again. I hope the water goes down. Like others, I wish you could send some to Texas.
