Digital picture frames have been popping up in the market since digital cameras have replaced old film cameras. The PhotoVu PV1965w supports most USB Flash drives and has a viewing angle of 160 (h) x 150 (v). Pixel pitch comes in at .2835 mm, and has a screen resolution of 1440 x 900, 16million / 24 bit color. The PV1965w can support a digital image size of up to 4992 x 3328 or 16.7 megapixels and has an optimum resolution of 1440 x 900 image. Connectivity features include, USB 1.1 / 2.0 compatible and Ethernet and Wi-fi ready. The Wi-fi on the device is 802.11b (11Mbps) but is upgradeable to 54Mbps, and has a 64/128 bit WEP security but upgradeable to WPA.
The PhotoVu PV1965w weighs in at 18 lbs. and can be mounted on your wall, or displayed on your desktop, tripod or VESA. You can also customize the frame, matboard and Power Cord and it also has an Internet Photo Sharing option which is compatible with sites like Apple iPhoto Photocasts, flickr, Google Picasa Web Albums, and Smug Mug. The PhotoVu PV1965w costs $1199, there is another 19 inch model but not in the widescreen format, the PhotoVu PV1965 which has almost the same features as the widescreen model but only costs $999. Customers can choose to spend another $24.95 for PhotoVu's annual software plan which includes maintenance, updates, and upgrades for PhotoVu software. Both models are available for direct order at the PhotoVu website.
