Pick sunscreen that protects you from skin cancer and aging rays. Recent research has shown that spf (sun protection factor) only sunscreens to not protect you from both UVA and UVB rays that can damage your skin, cause wrinkling, skin cancer and aging skin.

Choose The Correct Sun Protection Factor For Sunscreen

The first thing to look for in a sunscreen that will protect you from skin cancer, burning, premature wrinkling and aging of the skin is the SPF (sun protection factor) of at least 30.

Choose a Sunscreen with a Physical Blocker For Sunscreen

The second thing to look for in a sunscreen is a physical blocker that will give your skin extra protection against the suns natural effects of burning, premature wrinkling, aging of the skin and possible skin cancer. Look for zinc, zinc oxide, titanium or titanium oxide. It should be at least 7% of one of these ingredients. You will not find a spray on sunscreen that has one of these ingredients in it at this time.

Choose the Right Percentage of Active Ingredient For Sunscreen

Make sure that the active ingredient in the sunscreen that you are purchasing is at least 7% or higher to properly protect your skin from the damaging effects of UVA and UVB rays.

Wear as Much Protective Clothing as Possible to Protect Your Skin From Cancer and Aging Rays

Whenever possible wear as much protective clothing as you can. Wearing hats, sun protection clothing and swimsuits or just light weight long sleeve shirts is always a good idea. You will need to wear your skin for the rest of your life, so protect it now.

Do not go to tanning booths. Tanning at a tanning booth is actually more dangerous than tanning in the sun, but you should not do either.

For a safe tan, use sunless tanning products or get a spray on tan.

If you want to protect your skin from the damaging rays of the sun, use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, includes a physical blocker of titanium or zinc, and has an active ingredient of at least 7%.

The sun can cause premature wrinkling of the skin, skin cancer, the look of aging, and damaging burns. Always protect your skin if you are out in the sun for 10 minutes or longer.

A little bit of natural sun is healthy. Expose your skin to the sun for up to ten minutes twice a week to absorb healthy rays and activate the natural vitamin D in your skin.
