Picture Me Sexy- Rhonda Nelson

Terri Pray
Picture me Sexy, by Rhonda Nelson, is number 115 in the Blaze line and was released in December 2003. Out of all of the Blaze novels I've read so far, this is the first one I tore through in the space of two hours. The storyline grabbed me, the characters had me laughing one minute and ready to cry the next, and the sex was blistering hot.

Picture me Sexy follows Delaney Walker. Jilted damn near at the altar for the second time Delaney is about ready to swear off men once and for all. Her ex is a rat. Not just a rat but a lousy cheap skate of a swine. Not only does he jilt Delaney just a week before the marriage, he also goes off on the honeymoon holiday she paid for and takes his new woman with him. He's the type of men that gives all men a bad name and as Delaney takes her small means of revenge, things like writing the word Asshole on his lawn in weed killer, I couldn't help but smile. The man deserved everything she set up for him.

But he's left her believing that men, no man, is worth it.

Until she meets Sam Martelli. A photographer with a body made for sex, and a mind that calls to hers. Sam has photographed hundreds of beautiful women. But not one of them has ever affected him the way Delaney does. In a photo shoot that Delaney arranges in order to help her re-establish her self image, Sam finds himself fighting the urge to seduce her there and then. Delaney, like many women, has a less than positive self image. She's always been the 'fat' child, when in truth she has a Marilyn Monroe type figure. Healthy and curved.

As the shoot draws to a close the power goes out, leaving Delaney stranded in Sam's home and fate takes a hand.

Ms. Nelson has written a fantastic story that grabbed me hard and fast. I wanted to slap Delaney's ex silly. Sam is loving, kind, sensual and the ideal man for Delaney. And she rocks his world. In the hands of the right man she tosses aside her doubt and belief that she isn't sexy, and discovers the woman within.

But this isn't to be a one night stand - not if Sam has anything to do with it. He just has to convince Delaney that what they shared is not the sort of bond that either of them could walk away from.

Ms. Nelson. Thank you for an amazing read. Beautifully done and I will be keeping an eye out for other works with your name on them.
