persnickety feasting on the soon to be corpse

of a livid dying vitiate hippopotamus

as it were prime fillet kebabs

carcass leftovers a decaying meal

for Leishmaniasis spreading sand flies

Pinnacle of precautionary hunting perfection

astounded, adored and feared by many

outcome of many denouement ends

with blood and rheum glittering like diamond

as beasts hobnob with purr and tongue

just more pictures in the wild

Song of death no pretty Wheatus tune

instead, this cold blooded luxury

an instinct of pure survival

just another animal cromlech

formed of bones adding to the pile
