Pie Lover's Guide to Grand Rapids, Michigan

Best Places to Grab a Slice of Pie in the Grand Rapids Area

Eliza Wynn
Pie is a popular dessert, and with good reason. With so many different varieties, there is no such thing as simply "pie." Peach pie, cherry pie, pecan pie, and chocolate cream pie are just a few of the many kinds in existence. Even something that sounds as simple as an apple pie can have many variables, including the type of crust and the variety of apple. Pie lovers in Grand Rapids, Michigan, are fortunate to have many delicious options. Several restaurants in the area offer a wide variety of pies by the slice as well as by the whole pie.

Grand Traverse Pie Company

Grand Traverse Pie Company has the area's most extensive selection of pies, and they are delicious. Whether you prefer fruit pies, cream pies, or even pot pies, Grand Traverse Pie Company has something for you. The shop also serves light meals, but the pies are the main attraction, so be sure to save room. Don't worry about whether you'll end up with a small slice; employees slice each pie evenly by placing a pie cutter on top and pushing it down through the pie. You can buy a slice or a whole pie, and selected varieties are also available in a 6-inch size. Take a look at the online menu; you're sure to find something you like! Grand Traverse Pie Company has many locations throughout lower Michigan and has expanded into Indiana. The Grand Rapids location is at 3224 28th Street SE in Kentwood. It is open every day; call 616-977-7600 for the hours.
