Rumor or Fact? Whatever the case may be, Pierce Brosnan won't be returning for a fifth James Bond movie according to Entertainment Weekly. Disappointed? I am, but Brosnan fans kind of knew it had to come eventually. He is 52 years old, and acted in Goldeneye ten years ago.
He is getting older, but he is not old. He still has a huge career ahead of him, and is getting to for his next big hit "The Matador" where he plays a badass lady chasing madman. While he did tell Entertainment Weekly about this shocking news, this could very much so be a rumor, so we will have to make sure.
"You know, the movie career for me really started with Bond" said Brosnan.
This would be a big shock if he left, because like he said he started his acting career with the Bond series. Brosnan also said that if he left he wouldn't be noted as "James Bond" only, so in a way he feels relieved.
Everyone who came up to him saw Brosnan as the Goldeneye man, or James Bond himself, which he was technically, it just could of and did bombard him in a way. Many people may feel upset or shocked at this matter, but Brosnan feels relieved that he doesn't have to take on the responsibility anymore.
James Bond has always been one of the most action packed films of all time, but some things just have to come to an end, and this is one of them. Brosnan will still star in other movies, just not James Bond ones. Brosnan told Entertainment Weekly that he is grateful to have had the role of Bond again, but he just doesn't feel like it is for him.
He told EW that the one-liners that he had to do while starring as Bond were in a way cheesy and he always felt phony doing them. While I kind of liked those "One-Liners", I guess some people must move on with there life.
Now... Will there be another Bond? Yes, just not Brosnan. Will he be as good as Brosnan? Well that is a hard question to answer because usually the first of everything is the best. First movie, First actor and so on...
Whatever the case may be, James Bond might play Brosnan in the end, we don't know for a fact, but it was stated that he is not coming back. I will keep you all posted on this matter in later issues of the Brosnan loss to the James Bond movies.
