Pierce College to Host NWAACC Basketball All-Stars

The Athletic Association of Community Colleges Basketball All-Star event will be held on the campus of Pierce College Fort Steilacoom, on March 15, 2009. This All-Star event will be featuring 96 top womens and mens sophomore Standouts in the four regions of NWAACC. This 2009 All-Start event is gearing up to be power packed. The men's North, South, East and West have talented squads.

North All-Stars: Zac Andrus, Justin Arts, Jesse Bean, Chris Grounds, Daniel Davidson Sam Cartmell, Duntae Jones, Stephen Waltman, Chas Kok, Rahiti Marere, Ryan Sweet. Coached by Jeremy Eggers, Roger Valentine.

South All-Stars: Danny Derry, Cody Mortenson, Brent Jones Mike Wohlers, Landon Boucher, JC Cook, Tyson Christie, Austin Dunn, Scott Teustch, Kellen Spicer. Coached by Cliff Wegner and Rob Nielson.

West All-Stars: Anthony Gittens, Brandon Jones, Nick Schultens, Cory Gibler, Alex King, Sedrick Nelson, Kevin Dancer, Kelly Edwards, Chris Grove, Maurice Tolliver. Coached by Che Dawson and Carl Howell.

East All-Stars: Rico Wilkins, Tyler Bollman, Jody Johnson, Greg Giese, Skylar Montoya, Ray Stout, Roshun Wynne, Nico Sandoval, Jamar Ransome, Morgan Hyslop. Coached by Ray Funk and Clint Hull

For the North All-Stars, Chris Ground the Northern Region MVP, averaged 21.0 a game. On the West All-Stars squad, 6'5 Kevin Dancer a tough rebounded. Dancer has given California St. Northridge a verbal commitment to accept a full athletic scholarship to attend in the fall of 2009. For the Southern All-Stars, CJ Cook, the Southern Region MVP, averaged 19.0 a game. For the East All-Stars, Rico Williams.

Gracing the courts as well are the NWAACC Women's All-Stars.

North All-Stars: Sherika Puckett, Kaneisha Brooks, Krystal Tolliver, Brooke Hellpenstell, Brittany Finkbonner, Keena Hopkins, Samantha Flett, Ashley Grater. Tiffany Tyler, Brittany Bridges. Coached by Steve Epperson and Julie Stewart.

South All-Stars: Shayla Fetters, Kristi Fallin, Sheena Cole, Miranda Holenstein, Alexandra Melonson, Elizabeth Jablonski, Titi Takai, Cassie Scheffelmaler, Jennifer Kimbrow Cassandra Tiggett. Coached by Dave Stricklin and Greg Sheley.

East All-Stars: Nicole Duncan, Katie Harris, Jeni Gabriel, Maria Rustemeyer, Katlin McBride Chelsey Nill, Kelsay Stillar, Hope Williams, Lauren Daling. Coached by Cody Butler,Kelly Robbins, Kim Breymeyer.

West All-Stars: Randi Olson, Heidi Jackson, Mandy Wall, Megan Block Ciara Honore, Brittany Duerr, Micha Pringle, Jazzmn Montgomery, Saundra Polk, Alicia Richardson. Coach by Deanna Riffe and Chad Meadors.
Game times are scheduled as follows:

11:00 a.m. - North Women vs South Women
12:30 p.m. - East Women vs West Women
2:00 p.m. - North Men vs South Men
3:30 p.m. - East Men vs West Men

Ticket prices for the event are; $5 for adults, and $3 for students, seniors, and military. Children under 12 are free.
Concessions will be available.
