If you are a fan of the west, cowboys, buffalo, cowboy and Indian battles or just a major western fan, get ready to attend the annual Pigeon Forge Western Winterfest. During this season of the year, Pigeon Forge is preparing for its annual western lineup of events. From February 24th through February 27th, 2011 the Annual Saddle Up Event takes place.

Prepare for an amazing week and be ready to be entertained. Pigeon Forge is the Dolly Parton mecca of Tennessee. All cowboy and western fans will revel in the activities of Pigeon Forge's annual award winning, four day festival of entertainment. The four day Saddle-Up event is known as Pigeon Forge's Annual celebration of the American West.

Activities planned during these action filled four days make thousands travel miles seeking the areas entertainment, excitement and many unique country and western groups. In addition to the many singing groups, the roundup offers numerous activities for the entire family's enjoyment.

During these four action filled days, area residents and visitors alike are entertained with events taking them back to the 'cowboy ways.' They have a number of concerts lined up featuring genuine cowboys from the area, cowboy poets, western musicians singing and dance groups.

Guest of visiting during Saddle Up week are treated with scrumptious meals including the old west foods such as Antelope or buffalo stews. A prize winning dish is announced . Afterwords, guest can also partake of numerous different entries from the Western Annual Chuck Wagon Cook off. After taking a few minutes to rest from all the excitement, guest can dance off excess pounds by partaking in the Western Swing Dance.

Don't forget! The cowboys of Pigeon Forge along with their families never fail to remember who brought them through. On Sunday, after the week of entertainment, everyone gathers at The Cowboy Church to worship and give God all the Glory.
